This course is an advanced construction school intended to discuss advanced soil mechanics, difficult site solutions, and more advanced concrete science than presented in the basic construction school C201. The course also delves into alternative pool construction materials, major defect repair and the rehabilitation of old pools.

Learning Objectives:

• Examine how to render science-based decisions on project alternatives.
• Examine soil sciences that prove useful in everyday swimming pool and spa projects.
• Discuss details for construction components and methods.
• Identify the limitations of the pool contractor and the necessity for seeking professional engineering guidance when appropriate.
