Art Grace is a seasoned expert in the pool and spa industry with over 35 years of extensive experience in industrial electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. In 2005, Art expanded his influential role in the industry by acquiring ClearWater Pool & Spa, marking the beginning of a broader vision for the company. Under his leadership, ClearWater Pool & Spa flourished and grew to include ClearWater Construction Services, integrating HVAC, plumbing, boiler, and electrical services into their offerings. This expansion allowed ClearWater to provide comprehensive solutions, ensuring seamless service across all critical pool and spa construction and maintenance aspects.
As the Owner, Estimator, and License Holder at Clearwater Construction Services, LLC, and Clearwater Pool & Spa, Inc., Art has expertly managed multimillion-dollar projects, including new constructions, remodels, and renovations for both residential and commercial clients. His portfolio encompasses complex projects such as new commercial pool installations, pool renovations, and extensive mechanical unit replacements. Art oversees a dynamic team of 10-25 employees and ensures the smooth operation of all company facilities, including those at the former Detroit Hope Hospital.
Art began his career as a Power House Electrician and Quality Control Specialist at Ford Motor Company. There, he managed crucial aspects of plant operations, including switchgear maintenance and fire suppression certification, while gaining hands-on experience with various industrial automation control systems.
Art holds multiple licenses and certifications, including Residential Builder, Electrical Contractor, Mechanical Contractor, Plumbing Contractor, and Boiler Installer licenses from the State of Michigan. He is also certified in Lead Paint Abatement and Refrigerant Handling and is a Genesis Certified Pool Builder.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Art is deeply committed to education and professional development in the industry. He teaches specialized classes on pool building to electrical inspectors across the state of Michigan, reflecting his dedication to advancing industry standards and sharing his vast knowledge with others. Art is also actively involved in building commercial pools throughout Michigan, with a hands-on approach that has established him as a leading figure in constructing high-quality, reliable pool systems.
